Topic: Should a city to preserve its old, historic buildings or destroy them and replace them with modern buildings?
When it comes to this question, different people have different ideas. In my mind the historic buildings should be well preserved, because the historic buildings are unique and one kind of reflection of the history.
Nowadays, when you travel in one modern city in China, I wonder can you tell where you are? The answer is no night of ten. It is quit the opposite, once you walk out of the Beijing railway station, you will figure out in the first sight that you are in Beijing now. Why? That is because Beijing has so many historic buildings which are still in well condition. And the modern buildings in Beijing still reflect the historic buildings in the way like a complex roof with some angle in traditional ways. Due to this kind of experience you can see how important the role of the old buildings plays in the uniqueness of a city. Wondering in Beijing, you can see the Forbidden City, The SiHe Garden, The HuTong, which are all belong to Beijing.
Further more, old historic buildings are one kind of reflection of the history. Like the Old summer palace in Beijing，nowadays it is only the ruin of its golden times because the fire set by the invaders. Therefore, we keep it in the ruined way, because it can serve as a memory of the old dark days when Chinese people lived in fire and ice. The old summer palace does not stand alone, the old buildings like the Great Wall, The summer palace, The Lama Temple are all kept in a good way, and the lists continue. These buildings are like the jewel of the Beijing Crown, once destroyed, can not be rebuild again.
Things go in two sides. Keeping old historic buildings also has its disadvantages. The preserve fees are double to the fee of keeping a modern building. In the scientific ways, some old building should still house the citizens for the building’s sake. In a normal sense this citizens can not enjoy the modern life without the public water serving system, the air conditioning, and the internet.
In conclusion, the benefits of serving old buildings outweigh the short points. Though our society is running forward, the uniqueness and the history can not be left over.

我想说一点点意见

如果要是内容上包括两方面，好的和不好的，是不是应该在第一段就提及呢？比如说：尽管有些不好的方面，但是我还是觉得……不然后面出来有点突然

还有就是觉得好像开头和结尾从内容到字数上感觉都有点弱的意思……
