What do you work for? A good salary or a good mood? Probably someone works just for good salary to fulfill their fundamental needs for life; however, as to me, I perceive happiness is the most important consideration among all the factors that involved in a job.
In a pleasant environment, one may easily achieve the assignment without any anxiety or worries. On the contrary, if a person deems money as the final goal of a job, s/he will concern about salary all the time and lives in a nervous situation. Of course, it is a circumstance that is harmful to his/her job and will eventually affect his/her salary. For example, a friend of mine, Mike, always complains that his salary is less than other colleagues’, so he could not concentrate his mind on his work. And this in turn resulted in the inefficiency of his work and therefore he got less salary than before. And finally he is in a nervous situation and cannot continue that job any more.
In addition, being happy of job will lead to a fine atmosphere to communicate with other people and meet with a number of friends, commercial friends as well. For instance, another friend of mine, Jane, who is always having a smile face and a pleasant mood in her work, one day, saw a foreigner in the elevator. She smiled to that person although they do not know each other before and that foreigner smiled to her politely. Surprisingly they arrived in the same floor and entered in the same office. In the end, Jane found that that foreigner is a new VIP of her company. And because of her kind smile, the negotiation underwent successfully. As a result, being happy is quite critical to a job.
Based on the former statements, we can safely draw the conclusion that even though high salary is one of numerous factors that one seeks job for, having a good mood is more important than that, not only because it would reduce unnecessary worries and anxiety, but may create plenty of opportunities to acquaint with strangers and meet with new friends.
