Will renewable resources of energy replace the fossil fuels? My answer is definitely “yes”. But will this change occur immediately? There are so many difficulties bought by the popularization of technology and the status of energy using, that I have to doubt about the speed of this process.
The past 100 years witnesses not only comprehensive advancement of human society, but also the lager and lager gap between rich and poor. One cruel truth is: the debate around whether we should use nuclear energy on the illumination of landscape breaks in some luxuriant palaces, while the only significant event for the people lived in Ethiopia is how to keep life to the next day, let alone enjoying renewable resources. Actually, same as backward regions, developed countries are also worry about the fossil fuel, which would be proved by the high price of crude oil, almost 136 dollars per barrel. Of course the study on renewable resources of energy will relieve huge pressure brought by traditional energy. But the process would have to be very hard and longish when taking reality into account.
The second reason for my disagreement is the incomplete technologies on exploitation of renewable energy. Even gained a little achievement, as everybody knows all too well, the research on this filed, just like a newborn, still cannot afford the cost to be popularized, not so much because the complicated and difficult technologies used by new energy, but because the long distance between these two kinds of energies which makes the upgrade more harder. For common resident live in rural, it is the deficient the solar energy supply, which would only afford one bulb with 30 tiles one day, makes they to give up this advantage method.
In addition, high price of these high-tech equipments using in collecting and converting new sources reduces the popularization rate. Generally, the cost used on 15 solar panels, which is almost the cheapest renewable resources equipment, equals to almost 1 ton coal. It is astonished that the high-tech should expend so much money.
With the reasons mentioned above, since the usage of energy has been so serious that it is extremely necessary to exploit renewable resources of energies, like sun, water and wind, to help the replacement between new and old. Despite the difficulties of the kind or that, even the change would not happen soon, I still hold the optimistic belief that new energy resources, so long as we indeed, will be applied in common life more and more widely.
