Are books more important than the experience?

It is always be a hot topic on campus that whether books are more important than the experience. Contrary to the opinion of many friends is my heartfelt objection that the books are more important than the experience. Though the advantages of books are numerous, they can not compete with the benefits of the experience, when practical problem and career life are taken into consideration.

The books, of course, are playing a very important role in one's education. It is like a foundation of a building. Books can give us such writing, reading foundation before we want to set up a career building. For example, if someone wants to be engineering, he must learn mathematics and some formulas first. Where he should begin to be engineering? He should study engineering books first. That's why books are still very important in our educational life. However, when books compare with experience, i have no doubt that experience is far more outweigh than books.

In the first place, experience can give us opportunity to use knowledge in the real world while books can not. Take English studying as an example; if someone just learning English by his text books at home but never goes out to speak with foreigners, the result is he can never be a fluent speaker. Knowledge on the books are the knowledge that has been fixed, we should try to practice our knowledge in the real situation. If the student i just mentioned has lots of experience of communicate with friends, teachers, and foreigners by speaking English, i am very sure he will improve surprisingly by such experience.

Moreover, as far as i concerned, experience can help us to achieve a good occupation in our career lives. To find a suitable job is every student's will. Experience could make one high competitive among those candidates. For instance, a manager from a big company would rather give working offer to the student who has working experience rather than the student has no experience at all. That's way numerous students apply for internship opportunity during their school time. From their internship experience, they can adapt new career life easier. Concerning to the job opportunity, i believe that experience are more important than books.

Nevertheless, there are still countless reasons that experience are more important than books such as money problem, motivation and the quality of life. To sum up, I agree that books are very important in our lives, but the importance of experience is more obvious. Experience could let us know how to use knowledge practically, and it also can make us high competitive in society. In consequence, experience is more important than books.
