018 What are some important qualities of a good supervisor (boss)? Use specific details and examples to explain why these qualities are important.
In my point of view, a good leadership should include a sense of responsibility, patience, and having the courage to be innovative.
First, a sense of responsibility makes the team go high. Since the leader take on the duty, his teammates can do thing freely and more tend to make their best to achieve high goal. Moreover, responsibility also stimulates the leaders to focus on high aim. Backtracking the great figure in the history, such as Washington, Roosevelt, who owned this kind of characteristic, we can conclude that the higher aim he has, the easier he can success.
Second, patience makes the team go long. When facing with a variety of problem, the leader should calm down and be patient about them so that he can make a correct decision. Also, sometimes the employee may make mistake. If the leader can keep his temper and comfort the mistake-maker, I think he must do his job more hard in the future and treat the leader with heart and soul.
Third, the courage of innovation makes the team overpass the obstacles in their way. As a team, it is not unchangeable. Inevitably encountering several kinds of problems requires the leader's competence to cope with them innovatively. Furthermore, changing means a challenge to the past. So, the leader should own the characteristic of changing the team to adjust it to the changing world bravely.
To summarize, if the leader owns the three characteristic above, the team will go higher, longer, and steadier and I believe such a leader would be respected by all of his employees.
