W: Well, I suppose. But I [
have] nener heard of [the Bauhaus] and I’m not clear on something. Was it some place you [should] go to, or was it more the young or movements of some sort you know (like) [Brook] impressionism [ Brook Impressionism 布鲁克印象派].! |2 p' V4 A( j
M: No. It was an actual design school located in Germany, found by [Walter Gropius]. His goal was to combine technical skill and (artist) talent and by doing this creat a new from of architecture and (plight, 困境) arts [ plight art, 艺术困境].
! y  t3 K2 j9 B0 ~. _9 m  M" d) H  TW: Okay. So that explaind what professor mentioned how (certain) people <had studied> with both a craft <person and an artist>.: ^7 M) s) O$ x& {' X  O
M: Right. Before anybody could actually begin their formal training, they had to take <workshops,1.车间,作坊,工厂2.(学生或专业人员的)研修班,研讨会 取2> that were taught by both a craft person who (emphasize technical) expertise and an artist.3 V, p5 t6 m( f# _1 g$ x& h
W: Interesting!
! @' b  x) h: n" D* AM: And the Bauhaus founders also departed from the notion of arts being a form [ 文本中这里是former,似乎解释不通,former作名词只能表示“前者”,我听了好多遍觉得应该还是form吧,是说“一种奢侈品的形式”, m和后面的of连读所以听起来像former] of<luxury> object, they wanted to produce functional arts<to be> enjoyed by everybody, not just <wealthy>.

M: Perhaps. Ur I don’t know. But it did mean that Bauhaus creations, 1.创造建立2.创造物,作品3.宇宙,世界,万物 取2 [ 原文是creation,应有误] have their own own artistic beauty and that instead of being individually handcraft like something you see in a… and I don’t know. M: I don’t think so. But judging by the amount of time on our class schedule, that (were) going to be devoting [ 为什么不是devoted?] to it, it (is a fact that must be) left it.[ 最后一句话不知道是什么意思,觉得念的和文字不太一样。疑惑。。]

M:(There are) not much difference (than) the old dorms, just some new (pane 用于镶嵌在窗格里的玻璃 and) windows. The windows are nice, (so) they shut out noise really well. The street‘s just outside,but I can barely hear the traffic.

M: Yeah. I wish I (had) something just the (factor 我写的是effect,听的时候分不出来而且似乎effect也讲得通啊) between me and my <neighbour's> rooms, Sometimes he truns up the music so loud that I have trouble getting into sleep. Anyway, I guess I'(m) better (off than) [ better off than 比……状况好] the people who('ll be)  moving (into) the new dorms. Did you see how [ thin the walls are that] they (putting) [up] between those rooms?, g5 l8 ?6 z. L+ |& m; w
W: I haven't seen them, but I did read something about them in the campus news paper. They are supposed to be better than thick <concrete> wall you['ve] got here., T2 j/ A. f( i5 A. y, Y
M: Better? How?; R. h0 J8 e& p0 }( p
W: Well, what they are doing is separating each room two thin (layer of) <plasterboards 灰泥板> and each one is (nailed) to [a] diferent (frame). That way ( they vibrate) independently.! M1 g" V; v) O* g! |- A
M: Oh, I see. So the sound from one room doesn't just by (vibrate) the wall and directly into next room. (There is a gap) between (two) layers of the wall.4 Y7 J0 U( O  C: E
W: That's right.1 {- N9 \0 b( A5 p8 K, Y0 n
M : Well, I'm still (stuck adj.1.卡住2被黏住 with) this neighbour and I'm not sure what to do.% p, f' O) h% q+ Y
W: You know (heavy bear) wall doesn't help. You should hang something up like some [ fur rages 破布] or [decorated cross]   That would act like [a] kind of second wall and absorb some [of  the讲义上没有但是我好像听到有...] sound. I have got some [extras] you can use, if you would like.7 m4 y7 i5 }! x- c5 ]
M: I'd appreciate it.,anything to get a (night) sleep.

比很多同学好的一点是咬字很清楚,多数发音很准确。
. `# G0 y( [9 h% A9 Y但有些要连读和要省略爆破音的地方要注意,不要试图把每个音节都读出来,不要蹦单词。还有就是要试着模仿录音的语音语调,学着自然一点。红色单词要记忆。
/ [9 u8 p  A. n+ I5 H听力和口语是相辅相成的,这样跟读训练的效果很好。

一个星期前看了新东方听力的网络课堂,我才知道有失爆破,击穿,失音等语音现象,才知道不要每个单词度清楚的,才知道英语还有节奏,才知道每个单词的音调有那么多变化。我以前完全是word by word读,读英语就和读中文一样的,悲剧啊。。。/ y7 ?& c7 w. R* I' c& Z- w
! [5 g% R( o4 t' x1 u
我终于知道做听力通常听到老美的读音之后反应不过来的原因就是,我读的和人家不一样!; y# U" C, ^0 h& B
! x+ Q" F9 w1 g: [( M
这几天我就用自己听写过的段子模仿,我在纸上把我能发现的读音规则都标上了。还放一句录音停一下地跟读,就相当于录音带着我读一样,但是,跟读的时候为了跟上录音的语速,一直在拼命赶,有些地方注意了,有些地方来不及注意。5 l9 _/ e  d5 _- D
) H( f* [1 y. S1 v
听写是查漏, 跟读是补缺。horse说得多好

把文章的连读,失爆等高级语言现象标注出来再跟着录音模仿,直到熟练掌握!2 C2 l/ n/ F9 R, j. J
7 ]( h4 \4 K9 f
LZ跟读已经很不错了,但是还是有些小地方需要注意比如 第一篇最后一句中的 the amount of the 的发音是/ði:/而不是/ðə/  第二篇中的dorm 最后m的发音要闭唇等 继续加油哦

“蹦单词”是我的一个比喻,是说跟读时有些地方不能连贯起来,单词说出来很突兀,没有衔接。逐渐去模仿录音中连读的方式,可以使你的口语更流畅、连贯

Good evening. My name is Pam Jones, and on behalf of the Modern Dance club, I'd like to welcome you to tonight's program. The club is pleased to present the TV version of [The Catherine Wheel 轮转烟花, Twyla Tharp's] rock ballet. This video version of [the] ballet has been even more successful with audiences than the original theater production ---- it includes some animation 动画), slow motion, and stop-action <freezes> that really help the audience understand the dance.
7 {* I. \+ |/ O7 `# P" ], S9 _+ j. W, j) ^
The title of the piece refers to (Saint Catherine), who died on (a wheel in) 307 A.D. Nowadays, a Catherine wheel is also a kind of firework 焰火 ---- it looks something like a (pinwheel 轮转焰火,纸风车). Anyway, the dance is certainly full of fireworks! You'll see how (Twyla Tharp explores) one family's attempt to confront the violence in modern life. The <central> symbol of the work is a <pineapple>, but exactly what it represents has always created a lot of controversy. As you watch, see if you can figure it out.

& Q8 ^1 R; w) a+ R& t  x' F7 sThe music for this piece is full of the <rhythmic> [energy of] rock music. It was composed by David Byrne... of the rock band Talking Heads? And the (lead) dancer in this version was Sara Rudner, who is perfectly suited (to Tharp's adventurous 爱冒险的,充满危险的 choreography. ), b) E( I+ y3 Q' k+ h0 U
