Face to face communication visit email or phone calls?
No one can deny the fact that communication is become one important part in everyone's lives. Communication could help one contain one's relationships. Different from the past, we have many ways to choose to communicate such as emails, phone calls, massages, and face to face communication. Though the advantages that the communication by other tools such as telephone and computer are considerable, they can not compete with the benefits of face to face communication, when the understanding, and vivid communicate environment are taken into consideration.
In the first place, face to face communication has best environment for communication than other communication ways. For example, this summer I attend a friends meeting in a cafe. Since I and my friends are all study abroad, we have seldom opportunity to have a face to face conversation. We usually just left message on face book. However, the feeling is so different between face to face conversation and message on face books. Every story told by my friends was so vivid with their vivid pronunciation. I can see their facial expressions clearly while they are talking. The talking environment is much warmer than the words from computer. Facial expression is very important part in one's conversation, I can tell their feeling immediately. Thus, I believe that face to face communication can make a best environment for speakers.
Moreover, face to face communication can make conversation more clearly. The other ways of communication like emails or facebook messages are just few sentences, one would not have instant answer, and it may cause misunderstanding. Contrary to the email and messages, face to face talk could provide one the opportunity to ask questions immediately if one understands. Face to face conversation, of course, has less opportunity to make language misunderstanding than writing. For instance, woman always think in a different way from man does, thus there always be a problem that wife always misunderstand her husband's words. If they can have face to face talk, the problem will be solved easily.
Finally, face to face communication is the cheapest conversation. One will not pay the telephone fee or wireless fee for the talk. It can make talk become more freely. Take my friends example again, we all have to pay a high telephone fee for our conversation when we are abroad, but we do not have to worry about money if we just talk face to face.
On the other hand, I admit that other communication ways have some benefits as well such as long distance communication and it can avoid some embarrassed problem. Nevertheless, the disadvantages are outweighing the advantages.
In general, for the three benefits that face to face communication brings about, best conversation environment, clearly way to express the meaning and the cheapest conversation, my heartfelt agreement with the idea that face to face conversation is better than other ways of conversation.
