37 Do you agree or disagree that progress is always good? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Have you ever felt annoyed when you were in a traffic jam? Have you ever felt smelly when you were aside a river? Have you ever felt sad when you saw the sky no longer blue? If you have never had such experiences, you would not notice the problems the progress brings about.

From my personal angle, I am fully convinced that the progress is not always good.

First of all, it is the progress that results in many problems of environment. As known to all, the wastes of the industry never fail to do harm to the environment. For this reason, rarely clean water and sky can we enjoy. There was a time when we breathed fresh air freely and played in limpid rivers happily. The shining water that moves in streams and rivers is not just water but the blood of our ancestors. The water murmur is the voice of my father’s father. But now they all become a history. The past has turned into ash.

Furthermore, the progress does not only bring the problems of environment, but it takes people inconveniences as well. Because of the progress, the technology is developed faster and faster so that it proves much more difficult that people can live freely. There are always things obliging people’s lives such as that people hardly having privacy, people moving much slower in a traffic jam and people always being trapped in diverse telephones’ calls and so on. If there were not the progress of the technology, the headache things of people may be less.

Of course, I do not object to the progress. Obviously, everyday we are all enjoying the conveniences that the progress offers to us. I also take it for granted that the progress is making our society better.

In conclusion, the progress takes both conveniences and inconveniences to us. For the most of the time, we are always on the arduous journey in seeking for the most benefits with the least costs. I am always having a dream that one day the progress can promote the world without any terrible problems, for that the paradise is a place where we can live freely with clean water, fresh air and blue sky.

首先这个headache things 不是中式表达，但是似乎太口语话，因为我是看美剧学来的。

然后那个的句子是没有问题的，因为as well在后面其实是把原来的 but also 中的also同意变换了后，后置到句子末尾，是比较花瓶式的表达方式，我就是用来show 一下的。

我感觉but那个also和as well的转化是没问题 但我感觉那个it 可以不写的吧 写上去看着很不舒服。。。。 个人感觉

恩，感谢楼上，确是正解，如果not only在主语前面，那it就要加，现在是一个主语，两个动作，确实后面要省略。
