15. Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.
Traditionally in China, we had a saying, that is, a distant relative is not as good as a near neighbor. From this, we can get a better understanding of the essential component that neighbor plays in our life even though there is no genetic bond between us. From my point of view, what maks a nice neighbor is someone who is uprghit, supportive and compatible.
First and foremost, I expect a family composed of upright members to live beside me. In aitient China, there was a famous phylisophier named Mengzi. His mother moved their house for three times to create an inducitive atmosphere for her son. Not only for young children, but also for some adults, the action of those person living near us has a
great influencement on our behaviour, which is called social influence in social study. In other words, if we position ourselves among those who are addictided to drug or those who are theives, we may get on the same road together with them, which we don't want to happen. An upright and honest neighbor also means that they should not tell my stories behind my back. They can tell me my shortcomings at my mouth and help me to make improvemnet.
At the sacond place, I want a supportive neighbor . It is a well-known saying that a friend in need is a firend indeed. I suppose the case is a still so for a really helpful neighbour. In my eyes, a good neighbor is also a good friend.I just think my good neighbors won't leave me when I was in trouble. They can be my friends both in sunshine and in shade, care for me even when the time is bad and even more when the time is great. Of course, I will give them my hands if they need.
What's more, a good neighbor also need to be compatible. During frequent contact, some contradiction is unnecessary. If anyone of us is easy to burst into anger, how can we build up friendship and trust, much less to say being helpful. In order to create a harmonious surroundings, good neighbor , therefore, should be more open-minded, which is also a need for ourselvse, then quarrel won't occur to us easily. Most of all, living in a harmonious atmosphere will make us feel more relaxed and pleased.
In closing, righteousness, compatibility and being helpful are some necessary qualities for an ideal neighborhood. However, a friendly and warm relationship in neighborship also sets requirements for ourselves.
