      If I could change one important thing about my hometown,it would be the environment.In order to keep pace with the improvement of the living standards of the citizens in my hometown,I plan to perfect the environment by improving the air pollution problem,building some public facilities as well as advancing the transportation system.

To begin with,only by resolving the air pollution problem of our home town can we advance the health conditions of the citizens. As an old industrial city, my hometown has made a great deal of contributions for the country’s economic development,but this also resulted in the damage of the natural environment of the city:the forest has disappeared, the mountains have become bald,and the most awful thing is that the air quality becomes more and more worse.People seldom see the blue sky during most time of year.Nowadays people have paid more and more attention to their health. If the air pollution problem cannot be solved as quickly as possible, people’s requirement for a healthy body will never be realized.

In addition,it is advisable to build some public facilities in my hometown,such as the community libraries and the public parks.As the improvement of living quality,the residents ask for more public facilities to fulfill and their leisure time.For example,having a walk in the picturesque park near home,the residents can smell the grass and flowers,hear the cries of birds and feel the bracing breeze on their face.All of these can help them relax and relieve the pressure and tension from work and study in daily life.Moreover, a modern library can provide a good environment for the local people to study and upgrade themselves.
      What’s more,the transportation system in my hometown should also be advanced,so it can meet the increasing needs of the people and ease the serious traffic jams in our daily life.For example,if the subway system in our hometown can be accomplished,people’s life will become much more convenient.As the subway system almost covers all parts of the city,citizens can go to the places  they want to more quickly with a reasonable price.

In summary, I believe the total environment of my hometown will be much better through the efforts on resolving the  air pollution,perfecting the public facilities and finishing the subway system,and in that case,people’s life in my hometown will be healthier, more colourful and comfortable.

    As the improvement of the living standards of the citizens in my hometown,they call for a healthier,happier and more efficient life style.So if I can change one important thing in my hometown,I will change the environment.My arguments for my point are listed as follows.
    The main reason for my propensity for it is that a good environment can make people’s life healthier.By resolving the air pollution problem of my hometown,the health conditions of the citizens can be enormously enhanced. As an old industrial city, my hometown has made a great deal of contributions for the country’s economic development,but this also resulted in the damage of the natural environment of the city:the forest has disappeared, the mountains have become bald,and simultaneously the air quality becomes much worse.People seldom see the blue sky during most time of year.However,nowadays people in my hometown have paid more and more attention to their health,asking for a better quality of life.Therefore if the air pollution problem cannot be solved as quickly as possible, people’s requirement for a healthy body will never be realized.
    Another reason can be seen by every person is that a good environment can make the people’s life more enjoyable and colourful.As the work pressure nowadays increasingly grows,people in my hometown need more rest and entertainment to relax themselevs.Improving the environment by buildding some public facilitie,such as the community libraries and the public parks undoubtedly can provide good places for the citizens to have a good time.For example,having a walk in the picturesque park nearby,the residents can smell the grass and flowers,hear the cries of birds and feel the bracing breeze on their face.All of these can help them relax and relieve the pressure and tension from work and study in daily life.Moreover, a modern library can provide a good environment for the local people to study and upgrade themselves.
The point I support in the first paragraph is also in a position of adcantage beacause a good environment can make people’s life more efficient and convenient.In order to ease the heavy traffic jams  and save people’s time and energy,it is imperative for us to change the environment on the infrastructure facility,like the transportation system in my hometown. For example,if the subway system in my hometown can be accomplished,the traffic condition will be better and citizens in my town can go to the places they want to more quickly with a reasonable price.
    In summary,I would choose to change the environment,for only in this way can I make citizens’ life healthier, happier and more efficient.
