In this modern world, everything seems to be speeding up, which makes all of us feel stressful, and anxious sometime. The society is becoming more and more competitive that all of us must try our best to study more, work harder, to catch up with the beat of the life, to avoid falling behind others. It seems that our future is accelerating to grow more competitive and complicated. But I still think that we may have more leisure time after 20 years.
There are several reasons I think contribute to our extra leisure time.
First of all, development itself means a lot to us, not only the intense competition, but a growing amount of advanced technologies, which will do a lot in changing our life. For instance, in the future there will be a tremendous numbers of computers, machines and robots, which will do the hard work instead of us to a great extent, such as the exploitation of mineral resources, dangerous scientific experiments, or other high-risking jobs. That will no doubt reduce our pressures of our lives and make our lives easier and more enjoyable. Also, of course machines controlled by computers are more efficient than human beings, which can save a lot of time for us. Then comes more leisure time.
Plus, with the development of society, our views of life may also change greatly after 20 years. We may pay more attention on our daily life but not daily work, we may focus more on our family members’ health but not the stock market, we may give more time accompany our family traveling around the world but not spend nights in the office.
All in all, our lives will have a revolution both in physical and mental that nobody can anticipate it definitely, and I believe all the changes will make our lives better.
