给点意见 拜托拜托！！！ 最好给个分数76. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Children should begin learning a foreign language as soon as they start school. Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.
In the last decades, advances in economy and globalization have made it possible and necessary for people to learn a foreign language. However, should children start to learn another language as soon as they start school? Each and every person has his or her own opinion on it. Some prefer to agree, while others prefer to opposite. As far as I am concerned, I do not think it is a good way to teach children foreign language in such an early age.
To begin with, for children, when they start school, there are so many things for them to adapt and learn thus a foreign language must become their heavy burden. A recent investigation conducted by a group of experts on psychology and education has shown that children who learn foreign language before six years old may have some trouble in their further learning in the future. According to the result of the survey, the experts explain that children in that year are always curiosity and quick-learner, however, they may easily confuse and complex some concepts. In language learning, kids must have to learn not only new words but also the complex grammar which is still difficult for adults and these may arouse some problems such as keeping in memory some fault impress or losing interest in learning both foreign language and other subjects. From this point of view, let kids learn another language in such an early age is not an advisable decision.
In addition, undoubtedly, for children at that age, the most important thing to them is playing. Through playing games, they can learn how to use their bodies, develop their brain activity, build good characters; all this can help children so much in their whole lives. Common sense informs us that learning another language is such a huge work and you must have to do so many studies thus for kids, they have no time to play. That's such a pity to all children and may bring some kind of problems. Accordingly, as playing is important to kids, schools should not make them learn a foreign language when they have already began their education.
Admittedly, when comes to some special condition, some children can begin learning a foreign language as soon as they start school even as soon as they begin to talk, such as children with great gift on language or born in bilingual families. However, depending on common situations and a thorough analysis, the disadvantages of making children learning another language once they start school carry more weigh than that of advantages of it.
To sum up, taking into account of all the above statement, we can safely draw the conclusion that children should not start to learn a foreign language when they have already entered school.
