57. Why music is important to many people?
what is music? Some say that music is the art of arranging sounds across time. Some contend that music is the art concerned with combining vocal or instrumental sounds for beauty of form or emotional expression. There seems to be no such thing as a completely answer. As aristotle said,"It's not easy to determain the nature of music."Most ancient Greak philosophers believed that listening to "good" Music was beneficial to the development of a yong person's character. So there is no doubt that music is important to many people.
First of all, the most important thing of music is its power to transcend time,emotion, culture and language to connect people all over the world. Like food and water, music has nourished people form generation to generation. Singing a dolorous song of love, a solemn and stirring song about the hard-triumph, or the beauty of the earth even in the language we do not speak, the rhythm can also bring tears in our eyes. We all vividly remembered the song named "my heart will go on", which is the theme song of the 1997 blockbuster film Titanic. Whenever arosing this rhythm, the image about the Rose and Jack ,who had to be parted for ever, in the finality of the film "Titanic" would emerge in my eyes, and my tears involuntarily slide on my face. This is the power of the music.
Furthermore, listening to music can make us relax ourselves. When we feel confused facing so much unsettled work or study, or when we lose our way of life and do not know which direction we should go, we should just stop and calm ourselves to listen some light music, and then close your eyes, and imagine a placid picture, that really do make you relax yourself. After that, everything may can not be seem so difficult. That 's the music, which give you a placid frame of mind to face the complex world.
In addition, the bond of music unites us when we get together for the ceremonies of life. We are singing the honor this meaningful occasion as we lift our voise together. We are singing at the birthday parties, sporting events or festival meeting. We feel comfort in the familiar tunes, which can arose our resonance. It's the power of music to make us always get together and never feel lonely.
In conclusion, music has its witchcraft to gather people all the world no matter what color their skin are, what language they speak, what custom they possess, and how old they are. It really make us hold hopes to creat our lives. And we should always listen to "good" Music, just as ancient Greek said.
